What a summer!

Wow – what a summer!  I can’t believe that two months have passed by since I last sat down to write my blog.  This summer has proved to be my busiest yet with beautiful Weddings and events from Abbey Wood to the Azores – and every single one has been a true success.  On the subject of the Azores – check out this incredible picture of Lagoa do Fogo, just one of the stunning volcanic lakes that I stumbled across on my musical travels through this beautiful Archipeligo (what a horrible job I have!!)

Not only have I been performing at Weddings but also some wonderful music showcases including the infamous Pizza Express Jazz club where I performed with my favourite male vocalist (and partner-in-crime) Jamie Johnson.  It really was a night to remember . . .

I also couldn’t resist having an ‘after show’ blast in the chill out room because the sax just sounded SO great in there – boys and their toys!  (Check out my rendition of Baker Street )

In other news – Westminster Bridge Park Plaza have now also confirmed that they would like me to have a regular show case night, which I am really excited about, as it is such a superb venue for me to be able to invite prospective clients to.  The first night was on Thursday of last week (17th Sept 15) and it was very well received with a full house and great atmosphere.   My beautiful fiancé (Saatchi Signed artist) was also showcasing her latest collection as a private view so it really was an evening of artistic delights.  New dates to be released very soon so watch this space!

And finally – to my good friend Cat, it was an absolutely pleasure to perform for you at your beautiful wedding back in July – Damn that cake was good !!!!

And thanks for grabbing this bit of footage on your iPhone . . . I have no idea who the silly hat belongs too!

National Wedding Show

I am really excited to announce that I will be performing and showcasing at this year’s National Wedding Show at the Olympia, London.  This is the UK’s leading wedding show with an expected attendance of over 17000 between the 25th and 27th of September – so please come down and say hi (If you let me know in advance I may even be able to arrange some free tickets)!!  I will be on stand A114.

Some of you may have also seen in the wedding press that I performed at the National Wedding Show Press event last month – at the Langham Private Members club in London.  The evening was a great success with representatives from some of the UK’s biggest and best lifestyle and wedding publications attending.  A massive thank you to Matt for jumping on the piano for me . . . and what a lovely piano it was too!!!

And finally . . .

Back to my headline – ‘The Importance of a Performance’.  Well, I think it is reasonably well accepted that in the ‘music business’ being able to play an instrument is only half of the battle.  The other half is being able to entertain, interact, get involved with your audience and to be able to put on a great show.  Well . . . the drummer in this video has taken hold of that job description with both hands and then taken it, well, quite a few steps further!

I just *LOVE* this.  (And by the looks of it – so does he!!)

Enjoy – BM
